At a very early age, Dan McCarthy had a vision. How to combine his love of music with his "gift of gab". This "gift" would eventually turn into a promising career at public speaking.
In 1979, Dan performed at his first "DJ" job in Lexington, Ma. with his friend David Femia using rented equipment a vast array of records, unknowingly supplied by his "on-air" brother Harry, a.k.a."Justin Clark" of Boston radio fame. The second show, with assistance from John Lindahl was on the back of a flat bed wrecker truck at a church fair in Belmont.
Well, Dan doesn't do the wrecker truck shows anymore, instead, he is recommended by Boston's finest function facilities, and has performed at over 1000 weddings as of this writing.
Consider that a Wedding Disc Jockey with 25 years experience is very hard to find. In the entire city of Boston, we know of only a handful. The reason we mention this? It's because experience is the most important element to consider when choosing a Disc Jockey. Why take a chance on the most important day of your life?
Words cannot describe how it feels to be controlling the music throughout the 2008 NBA Playoffs, and being a part of the Boston Celtics World Championship.
As a Celtics fan it is fulfilling a dream to be a part of the whole celebration up close. Picking and playing the music to the crowd at the Road Rally was a once in a lifetime type of feeling. (So I can’t wait to do it again next year when we win it again).
