In more than 30 years DM Productions has been in the business of providing entertainment, one important factor has always remained true. We have always maintained a "stable" of the best Disc Jockeys New England has to offer. Many of the best went on to form their own companies after learning the trade with us. Some got married, had kids, and retired, others just wanted their weekends back .The true greats, are DJs that feel the passion in what they do, if you do something at a certain level you learn that the rewards are plentiful. I am proud to be associated with people you see below, they have stuck with me through thick and thin and they are a major part of the success of DM Productions and Boston DJ. ~ Dan McCarthy

Dennis McCarthy

Dennis is considered to be among the best Wedding emcees in New England, it has been said of him so many times over the years, : "Dennis has the dance floor that never dies". Many couples are sold on his services at first meeting because of his likeable personality and calming demeanor. Make no mistake about it, with Dennis at the helm of your wedding or special event, a great success is "in the cards". A veteran of over 500 weddings, Dennis has worked extensively at many of Boston's best nightclubs.

Steve Rossi

Easily putting in the most DJ hours on an annual basis, Steve Rossi is one of the truly great "work your way up" stories. When he started with DM Productions over 15 years ago, he had no DJ skills at all, but as a loyal friend of Dennis McCarthy, he decided to assist in the weekly Karaoke shows at Cai's in Malden. When the Cais Karaoke show eventually died down, Dan asked him to make the jump to T's Pub on Commonwealth Ave, where he has been on Wednesday nights ever since. Over the years he sharpened his skills working with Dennis and Dan and the immortal Gary Dawson. Not only was Steve a quick learn, but he developed his own style and landed his own starring role at many nightclubs including Stadium, The Greatest Bar, T's Pub, Hurricane O'Reillys and many others.

The most significant part of Steve's contribution to DM Productions is that he has teamed up with Dan and with few exceptions has done every wedding for the past fifteen years that Dan has been hired for. Together Dan and Steve focus on the events and music for a couple's important day and pull it off to perfection. The success and accolades that Dan has received in the wedding business over the years has a great deal to do with Steve. The collaboration and partnership is the magic formula that keeps our calendars full. Steve's instincts for music selection are second to none. Whenever the calendar permits, you will see Steve at the helm of many diverse events. Unless it's on a holiday weekend of course where he has headed north to golf since the age of seven. (We think he's about a 10 handicap, but he never brags)

During the work week Steve and his Dad own and operate West Medford Auto Supply in West Medford, Ma.

Ron Ferrell

The newest addition to the DM Productions team, Ron has been a working DJ for over 24 years. He brings a passion and commitment to the job that shows in everything he does. In our audition process which lasted over a year, we took our 5 top candidates and fed them referral work while maintaining close contact with the clients. The feedback we received from the events that Ron did simply blew us away. Over the course of his career, his main focus is his clients. He truly believes that personality, simplicity and having passion for the business makes him stand out.

His natural ability to adapt to any crowd and music knowledge will have your dance floor pumping with energy. Ron fits into the “DM” team quite well as he shares our belief in approaching each wedding and event with a fresh mind and mixing up the music to suit the audience at hand. Steve Johnene

Stephen is a multi-talented Disc Jockey. Whether spinning at some of the biggest nightclubs in and around the Boston area (Vincent's, Cask & Flagon...) or playing at one of the 1,000 weddings & mobile functions he has performed in over his 20 years of DJ experience, he can do it all. His knowledge and love of all music allows him to play any type of event. From spinning today's hottest hits to yesterday's favorites, he strives to make your party a memorable one. He carries an extensive library and believes playing the music you enjoy is his top priority.

John Tringali

JT started his DJ career more than 15 years ago as a radio personality for WERS, Emerson’s College radio station. He quickly expanded into the Mobile DJ business. Since then, JT has performed at hundreds of Wedding Receptions, Anniversaries, Corporate Events, College Formals, Birthday Parties and more. He has been dj-ing with DM Productions for over a decade and has loved every moment of it.

Being a part of the DM team has been a tremendous experience for JT, helping to expand his horizons and take his love of music to the next level. JT’s extensive and impressive music library contains well over 20,000 songs, along with a state of the art sound system. It’s ultimately JT’s charisma, energy and passion which is the highlight of every event he’s working. His natural ability to adapt to any crowd will have your dance floor exploding with energy and your guests celebrating the festivities all night long.

Herb Wing, we will miss you...

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of my cherished friend and fellow DJ, Herb Wing. Herb died at the age of 48 after suffering a heart attack. To say that Herb was an important part of our organization would be the understatement of the year. For 15 years, he entertained at countless events and made lasting memories for our clients while they celebrated their milestones. He accepted each and every event as a challenge to give the clients the best time possible.

First and foremost, Herb was a family man. He was a loving Husband and Father to his wife Rose and sons, Michael and Justin. He was the type of guy who always saw the good side of anything and always had a big smile on his face. It was that beaming personality and his love for parties in general that had me offer Herb a job many years ago.

While I will miss my friend, his memory will give me a renewed energy the next time I face a small audience at a party that doesn’t seem to be too quick to get up and dance. I’ll think of Herb and remember that he would keep working that crowd and feeding them whatever music it takes to get them going. Then once I’ve got them, maybe I’ll order a “Tom Collins” and toast Herb. (We tried to tell him that that drink was out dated.)
